For durability, I chose to replace and retrofit all the telescope eyepieces with fixed 7-21mm Zoom eyepieces.
I love designing and fixing things. Using Fusion 360 I created and 3D-printed adapters and replacement brackets for several telescopes. I documented my solutions in the video here:

Boy Scouts from Chicago Troop #1 helped create a video for teens to watch before checking telescopes out of the library.
My Eagle Project
Planning the project with the beneficiary; managing a wish list; soliciting telescopes from the public; raising funding for repairs and kits/bags; leading volunteers in refurbishing scopes and in creating instruction videos; building a library of telescopes for teen checkout.
PLANNING MY PROJECT
My team of teens and telescope experts is helping me refurbishes telescopes and provides them to YOUMedia teens to inspire their curiosity and passion for astronomy. Through this project, I hope to inspire the next generation of astronomers.
